Heather Kosin originally started her career at GLAS in 2015 after graduating with an M.Arch degree from the University of Oregon. Since then, she has gained over a decade’s experience working on a broad range of educational, institutional, commercial, and residential project types. Heather also has an undergraduate degree in graphic design, with minors in German and music performance, from Whitworth University, in Spokane Washington.

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Heather has lived in either Oregon or Washington her entire life and is currently a registered architect in both states. She has had strong ties to the Eugene area since childhood, having spent her K-12 years in southern Oregon. A Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC), Heather enjoys practicing architecture in a region where evolving energy codes continually push the industry toward more resilient buildings.

Whether it’s traveling to remote villages in Zambia or discovering a favorite hiking trail, Heather enjoys exploring new places and meeting new people. In her free time, she and her husband, Evan, can be found hanging out at a coffee shop or walking their dog, a Norwegian Buhund named Alvar.
