LOWELL SD BOND PROJECTS

LOWELL SCHOOL DISTRICT
Lowell, Oregon

GLAS was initially hired in May 2015 to assist the school district in the development of an educational program, facilities assessment and master plan, in addition to facilities communications and community outreach. After a subsequent successful bond measure and seismic grants, the district hired us to complete the majority of the projects identified under the master plan’s priorities one and two. We were also hired to help the district complete seismic work at both Lundy Elementary School and Lowell High School.

Renovations at both schools included new classroom lighting and finishes. Mechanical systems were upgraded at all educational and administrative spaces on both campuses.  An integrated security and communication system was installed to cover both schools from any administrative office in the district.  A new gymnasium facility for basketball and wrestling was constructed at the north edge of the high school campus while the original gym was renovated into a cafeteria, kitchen, and school auditorium.
