In 2022, Oregon Coast Community College contracted with GLAS to assess all of their facilities. We identified a series of deferred maintenance projects that needed to be completed including a new roof at the Newport campus. We completed the full roof replacement of the 80,000-square-foot facility in the fall of 2024, resolving persistent issues dating back to the facility's original 2009 construction. The asphalt shingle roof had failed prematurely, causing widespread leaks and deterioration. Our team assessed the roof system and replaced it with a prefinished standing seam metal panel roof, along with all associated sheet metal flashings.
